Engineering department presents ninth annual ‘Wobble-Off’ competition

All are invited to the engineering department’s ninth annual “Wobble-Off” competition beginning at 3 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6, in the EHS Atrium.

Come and enjoy this demonstration of freshman engineering students’ first projects – an exciting variety of oscillating steam/air-operated engines. The event highlights the students’ first-year studies in engineering design, solid modeling and machining, and showcases the creative and impressive results of their design-build projects.

The students’ engines will compete in a variety of categories, including maximum speed, minimum vibration, maximum coast, cost efficiency and creativity/craftsmanship.
