Engineering students present at Richter Scholars seminar Wednesday

The engineering department welcomes the campus community to the an engineering Richter Scholars seminar scheduled from 3:40 to 5 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 14, in EHS 102.

Student presentations in electrical and environmental engineering will include:

  • “How to squeeze magnetic energy out of a coil: Improving motor efficiency with the use of back-electromotive force recapture” (Andrew Janzen, electrical engineering)
  • “Willamette Valley, Home of Pinot Noir – ? An economic analysis of climate change impact on the pinot noir wine industry in the Willamette Valley” (Gustavo Moreno-Vela, civil engineering)
