Bruin basketball teams host ‘Hoopfest’ on Nov. 1

A special evening for George Fox basketball fans who want to get an early look at the Bruin men’s and women’s teams for the 2012-13 seasons are invited to a “Bruin Hoopfest” when the teams practice at 8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, in the Wheeler Sports Center’s Miller Gym. Admission is free.

According to women’s coach Michael Meek and men’s coach Mark Sundquist, who are coordinating the event, fans can come to watch both Bruin teams as they engage in dunking contests, half-court shot competitions, and a couple of 12-minute inter-squad scrimmages. Free prizes for the fans will also be given away.
