Faculty invited to ‘Coffee & Conversation’ this Friday
The second faculty “Coffee & Conversation†of the fall is titled “Assigning Students Work: How Much Is Too Much?†Join us from 10:40 to 11:30 a.m. on Friday, Oct. 19, in the Executive Dining Room.
“Coffee & Conversation†sessions address “burrs under the saddle†– those persistent, annoying problems and challenges that seem to come with the work but drain an inordinate amount of time and energy. Student complaints about too heavy of a workload may be an issue you struggle with. How do you decide what is fair to expect? Do you expect too much? Not enough? How can you tell?
