Print Services: Copyright permissions policy
Please keep in mind that we as a university have an obligation to uphold the copyright laws for all of our textbooks. The law allows any user to make one (1) copy for “fair use,†for personal use and reference only.
You are welcome to bring your books and documents to Print Services, and we are happy to do the research for you. Please know the research process takes about four to six weeks to get an approval. Be cautious if you need to make multiple copies of any books, magazine or newspaper articles; you will need to obtain some sort of documentation showing that you have been granted permission to make copies.
