More than 400 Rotarians visit campus for conference this week
More than 400 Rotarians will be on campus for their district conference beginning today, Thursday, and going through brunch on Sunday. They will be coming from as far away as Pendleton, Lincoln City and Salem, Ore., and Vancouver, Wash.
Newberg’s Mike Caruso is the district governor and specifically wanted George Fox to be the venue for this year’s conference. University alumni LeRoy Benham and Fred Gregory have headed the planning committee for the past year and a half in preparation for the event. Alumna Wendy Goodwin will perform for the convention on Saturday evening in Bauman Auditorium.
In addition, there will be 100 rotary exchange students in attendance along with the Rotarians. Please help them feel welcome to our campus.
