Art exhibits on campus showcase work of professors

Sunday, August 29th, 2021

Introducing our new faculty members in the School of Communication and Design! To mark their arrival, we’re hosting a  New Faculty Exhibition in the Minthorne Gallery starting today (Monday) and running through Friday, Sept. 24.

Come see works by Marvin Eans, Casey Martin, Amy Williams and Chandler Brutscher, who will be serving the university as professors in graphic design, interior design, ceramics, and foundations, respectively.

Meanwhile, in the Lindgren Gallery, located between Bauman Auditorium and the Ross Center, we are hosting the Frogman’s 38th Print Workshop Portfolio, in which our own Jillian Sokso is a featured participant. That show will also run Aug. 30 through Sept. 24.

The Minthorne and Lindgren galleries are open to the public  Monday through Saturday, between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. In addition to the galleries, the exhibits will be open to the public during Newberg’s First Friday Art Walk on Friday, Sept. 3, from 5 to 8 p.m.

Important info to know regarding COVID and campus life

Friday, August 27th, 2021

Three things you need to know about COVID-19 and campus life:

  1. Wear your face masks where required. By state mandate, masks are required in indoor public spaces and at outdoor public settings where six feet of physical distancing is not possible.

  2. Let us know if you have symptoms. Students and employees who experience COVID-19 or cold symptoms should quarantine and let the university know by completing the COVID Care Form. We can help you – and protect our community – if you let us know.

  3. Free COVID testing and vaccinations are available on the Newberg campus. Contact the Health and Counseling Center to make an appointment (503-554-2340).
