Wytsma is a leader, innovator and social entrepreneur respected for his insight and collaborative spirit. He is the lead pastor at Antioch Church in Bend, Ore., and president of Kilns College, where he teaches courses on philosophy and justice.

He is also the founder of The Justice Conference, an annual international conference that introduces men and women to a wide range of organizations and conversations relating to biblical justice and God’s call to give our lives away. Ken’s books will be available for purchase at the event, as well as information from local community outreach groups.

Bauman Parking Lot
Be sure to move your cars out of the Bauman parking lot on Friday evening. This space will be dedicated to vendors and tailgating on Saturday. Stop by on Saturday and check out all of the food and activities (including a car-smash) happening before the game!

Entrances to the football game
There will be two entrances into the game and both are located in the Bauman parking lot, directly behind the stadium.

Wheeler Sports Center closed
The Wheeler Sports Center will be closed from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. This means the basketball gym, racquetball courts and locker rooms will be closed. The Fitness Center will remain open for normal business hours, but you will need to enter through the hallway entrance located on the field level, toward the end of the building near the tennis courts. There will be security officers who will ask you where you are headed; just let them know that you are going to work out.

Bauman Walkway
The sidewalk located between the football stadium and Bauman will be closed. Please walk around the building and do not move the barricade.

Barricades
If you see a barricade, it is there for a reason. Please do not move them, jump over them, crawl under them, or unlock them.

Circle Parking Lot
The circle parking lot near Wheeler will be closed for the day. This space is reserved for officials to park in. Officials will arrive as early as 8:30 a.m.

Sideline Passes
No one will be granted field access without a sideline pass. Sideline passes are issued to those who are required to work and/or have official business during the game.

Tickets
Students and staff can show their ID cards at the gate to get into the game. Additional tickets can be purchased online or at the gate by visiting this link.

Tailgate Reunions
There will be special gatherings on Saturday at 11 a.m. in the Bauman lot for alumni to reconnect with classmates in a fun, relaxed setting. The reunion will include lunch and a specific place for you and your classmates. Please also join us at the resident life tailgate tent before the game if you are a part of this affinity group.

We hope to see you at the game against Lewis & Clark at 1:30 p.m. and the tailgates prior to that!

Football fans, crush a car to help crush hunger! The GFU Student Athlete Advisory Committee, a group made up of athletes from every sports team, is hosting a car smash tomorrow (Saturday), Oct. 10, at 11 a.m. in the Bauman Parking Lot (behind Stoffer Family Stadium).

Pay $1 or bring three cans of food to take a swing with a sledge hammer at an old car that students have painted to match the colors of our homecoming opponent, Lewis & Clark.

All proceeds go to support the Newberg Food Bank (FISH) in an effort to stock up the shelves in time for the holiday season. Bring cash or canned food, and help join in the fight to crush hunger!

Don’t forget to join us tomorrow night (Thursday) when Matthew J. Milliner, an assistant professor of art history at Wheaton College and a member of the Curatorial Advisory Board of the United States Senate, presents a free lecture on the Newberg campus titled “Toward 2017: Visualizing Christian Unity” at 7:30 p.m. in Hoover 105.

Milliner teaches across the range of art history, and his scholarly specialization is Byzantine and medieval art, with a focus on how such images inform contemporary visual culture. He has a PhD in art history from Princeton University and an MDiv from Princeton Theological Seminary.

Also recognized will be Sports Hall of Fame inductees Calvin P. Ferguson (1968), Jonathan Moore (1993), Jon Wright (1993), Steve Wilhite (1963), Marilyn and John Duke (Meritorious Service), and the 2004-05 women’s basketball team.

On Wednesday and Thursday, Oct. 7-8, the university will host a representative from the Dundee Post Office to take your photo and help you process your passport application. This piece of document is very important if you intend to travel outside of the country. Listed below are Passport Day details:
