Join ‘Bridge the Generations’ pen pal program

Tuesday, September 7th, 2021

Project BTG (Bridge the Generations) is a program that is focused on reducing isolation, especially during the time of COVID.

We are currently hoping to kick-start a pen pal program between George Fox students and a few local retirement homes in Newberg to help foster relationships between generations. We hope that this will lead to edifying and memorable experiences for both the residents and our students.

If this is something you’d be interested in doing, you can let us know here.

Monday, September 6th, 2021

All new undergraduate students are invited to attend this Bruin Adventure program on Friday, Sept. 10, from 11 to 11:50 a.m. in Bauman Auditorium.

Sometimes we learn best by doing it ourselves and learning from our mistakes. And sometimes, we can learn from the wisdom of others who have gone before us. Come hear from returning students about what helped them thrive, things they wish they had done differently, and advice for your first semester at George Fox.

We’ll have a time for questions for the student panel. Attendees will be entered in drawings for $25 gift certificates.

Contact fye@georgefox.edu to reach the First Year Experience team with questions.
