The National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine recently made recommendations to improve primary care, two of which were to build interprofessional care teams and community-based training programs. We at the university’s Interprofessional Primary Care Institute have decided to do both.
Join us on Zoom on Saturday, Feb. 26, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to explore interprofessionality in pediatric practice. Go to our event page to register or find more information. It is free for George Fox students and employees.

This Wednesday, Feb. 16, at 7 p.m. in Hoover 105, the School of Theology has the distinct pleasure of hosting what promises to be a lively and engaging conversation between George Fox professor Phil Smith and Frederick Bauerschmidt, a professor of theology at Loyola University, on the virtue of faith.
Smith and Bauerschmidt will discuss the virtue of faith – what it is and why it matters – from not just their own distinct disciplines, but also by drawing explicitly from their Quaker and Catholic perspectives, respectively.
The night will be informal and geared toward the questions and concerns of those present. We hope to see you there! Chapel credit is available for students.
Contact Sarah Taylor at taylors@georgefox.edu with any questions.

3D printers are great for creating anything you can imagine! The Maker Hub is home to multiple 3D printers, including the Formlabs Form 2 3D printer.
This model is a third-generation desktop 3D printer that boasts a wide range of features, including a new peeling mechanism, heated tank, touchscreen display, wireless controls, and an automated resin system. Check out this video to see how it works.
The Maker Hub exists as a resource and creative outlet for the entire George Fox community (including non-engineers). We are looking for student aces. A student ace is simply an expert on a piece of equipment who helps train other students on the usage of that equipment and gains extra privileges within the Maker Hub.
Please email makerhub@georgefox.edu if you would like to get connected or have any questions.

University Recreation is hosting a spring “Gearage Sale†at the Hadlock Student Center from 3 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 18, that you won’t want to miss! Items for sale will include stand-up paddleboards, longboards, sleeping bags, backpacks, daypacks, trekking poles and many accessory items.
Have something to sell? Students, employees, family members and community members can sell their outdoor recreation, sporting goods and fitness equipment at the sale by using a consignment option. Twenty percent of the proceeds from consignment sales will go toward a new student financial assistance fund that helps students participate in outdoor trips and activities who would otherwise struggle to do so because of financial difficulties.
Donations of equipment and cash are encouraged. All proceeds from the sale of donated equipment will go toward the student financial assistance fund. Have something sitting around in your garage or basement? Let us know! Drop it off and we’ll try selling it to benefit our students!
Interested in selling or donating something? Read the Seller’s Agreement and fill out this form.
Please spread the word about this event to your friends, colleagues and neighbors. Contact Sam Nofziger at snofziger20@georgefox.edu with any questions.
