Thank you for continuing to wear a face covering when shopping at the Bruin Community Pantry’s food bank. We would prefer that our volunteers not be required to ask each person to show proof of vaccination. Considering the small space, we want to be able to keep everyone safe, so face coverings will continue to be required to access the food bank.
Thank you for your cooperation. Contact Jere Witherspoon (jwitherspoon@georgefox.edu) if you have questions.
The Murdock library and the 24-hour space will be closed July 6-8th due to a planned power outage. Library employees will be working remotely and can be reached via email. Check the library website for information. If you have a question about an item you have requested, or an item on loan, please email circadmin@georgefox.edu.
Starting Thursday, July 1st, all users of the Hadlock Student Center will be required to sign a new waiver in order to use the facility for sports, exercise, or other activities. For employees and general students, they can find it here, under “Employee Resources” or “Student Resources” and “University Forms”. For guests and other members, it is located here. Please keep in mind that everyone needs an updated facility waiver starting July 1, 2021.
In addition, every person participating in rock climbing needs to rewatch the Bouldering Orientation Video and take the Bouldering Assessment Quiz again. Please note that climbers need to watch the video even if they have watched it before as it contains some useful reminders and information.
Starting Wednesday, June 30th, masks will no longer be required to be worn while using the Hadlock Student Center for either vaccinated or unvaccinated individuals. All sports and activities will resume with no distancing or modifications required. Students, employees, and members are encouraged to give each other space, when possible, and to respect the personal choice of others that choose to continue wearing masks or refraining from certain activities.
If you have any questions, please email AJ Heil (aheil@georgefox.edu).

Due to the predicted high temperatures expected next week, we will not be serving the taqueria on the Bridge Café patio on Monday, June 28, or Tuesday, June 29. Instead, we will be offering some new made-to-order sandwich concepts in the café on those two days.
On Wednesday, June 30, the Bridge Café will be open from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., but there will be no lunch offered on the patio. Instead, we encourage you to attend the Staff Development Committee’s annual summer barbecue on the quad that day from noon to 1 p.m. The cost is $5, and all university employees, including student employees and faculty, are invited.

This weekend we are expecting record-setting temperatures Saturday through Monday. To best protect our equipment, Plant Services will be shutting off the large air conditioning systems for Saturday and Sunday. Bauman Auditorium is hosting an event until 2 p.m. on Saturday, so the air conditioning will be shut down after the event.
By turning these systems off, if a power event (such as a brownout) occurs over the weekend, the university’s equipment will not be affected. By taking these steps, the university will not be contributing to a large power draw over the weekend, either.
We will bring the systems back online on Monday, June 28. The systems affected are in:
Air conditioning in the lobby areas of the following buildings will also be shut off:
