This week, from today (Tuesday) through Friday, Aug. 9, sections of the Fulton Street parking lot and the Roberts Center parking lot will be blocked off for cleaning and restriping.
Additionally, the ADA spaces in front of Edwards will undergo the same process. Please be mindful of these signs and find alternative parking until the areas have been cleared.
Thank you for your help and understanding.

We’re excited to announce the launch of our new webpage for George Fox University surplus operations! Our program is dedicated to helping manage the university’s physical inventory, with a mission to efficiently facilitate the pick-up, processing, redistribution, and sale of surplus equipment.
At George Fox, we are committed to working closely with our community to remove surplus equipment from campus buildings, ensuring these items find new homes or recycling markets. This effort supports our role as environmental stewards and partners in sustainability.
Explore our new webpage by visiting the Plant Services website and selecting the “Surplus“ tab at the top. Here, you can learn more about our operations and browse our current inventory, available for personal purchase or for department use at no cost to the department.
When requesting items for departmental use, please ensure that they have a designated location, as all items will be tracked in our inventory records. Additionally, some items may be considered outdated and might not be available for department reuse, as we work toward keeping our facilities modernized and aesthetically pleasing.
In the near future, we plan to have designated days for drop-ins, allowing you to visit us in person and see what we have available. These dates will be announced in The Daily Bruin as well as on our new webpage. Please avoid inquiring or visiting with the plant services office directly, as they no longer store our surplus inventory.
Join us in making a difference through responsible reuse and recycling!

Join us on Saturday, Aug. 17, from 10 to 11:30 a.m. as we host our inaugural Prayer for Oregon Schools event by the Centennial Tower in the quad! We will engage in a time of worship, small-group and/or individual prayer, and fellowship.
Bring your family and friends (as well as something to sit on) as we pray for the upcoming school year. We’ll pray for our K-12 and higher ed students, faculty, staff, parents, school communities, boards, leaders and more.
It’s our hope that people will join us as we step out in faith as the church and prayerfully invite the Lord into this area that needs more light – our Oregon schools. The event is open to anyone who has a desire to come collectively in prayer and bring our schools and the people who are in them to the feet of Jesus.
A guided prayer booklet will also be available for those interested in additional points of prayer for the event. Please do not hesitate to contact Sara Hahn-Huston, assistant professor of educational leadership in the College of Education, at shahnhuston@georgefox.edu for more information, or if you would like a digital postcard invitation to share with friends.

The George Fox University Library is excited to announce a new look and improved functionality for over 90 of our online databases on the EBSCOhost platform. These include APA PsycINFO, CINAHL, Education Source, ATLA Religion, and Business Source Complete.
This shift will take place over the week of July 22, with some small updates continuing into the month of August. Throughout the transition, you can still access all of our databases from the “Databases A-Z” button on the library’s website. Existing permalinks should continue to function.
We’ve created an introduction video, but we welcome you to connect with a librarian or make a research help appointment if you would like one-on-one assistance or have further questions.
