Summer Online courses are less than half the price of regular tuition – and run for eight weeks, starting June 5. It’s a great way to create space in your fall schedule, while saving time and money! Plus, courses are flexible and taught by George Fox professors that you know and love.

The Portland Writing Center (PWC) is switching scheduling software from Penji to TracCloud. To make an appointment with the PWC, please go to traccloud.georgefox.edu.
All George Fox graduate and undergraduate students may schedule remote writing or academic coaching appointments with the PWC throughout the summer. Live Zoom consultations are preferred, though alternatives can be discussed if consultant availability doesn’t align with a student’s schedule.

Calling all veterans! You are welcome to have a cup of coffee (and delish pastries) with the university’s Veterans Club every Tuesday. We meet from 9 to 10 a.m. at the Nut Tree Ranch Community Center (2902 E. 2nd St., in Newberg) to share in conversation and fellowship.
We have guest speakers every so often, but mostly this is an hour of meeting new faces and getting out of the house for a bit of conversation with Christian veterans. Please join us. We would love to have you! The coffee has been graciously sponsored by Caravan Coffee Roasters.

This is your last chance to sign up for events at the Doctor of Physical Therapy program’s annual Health and Wellness Week.
We’re offering exercise and nutrition classes at the Medical Sciences Building (448 Werth Blvd.), all of which start at 6 p.m., and a “Pool-A-Palooza” event for kids at the Chehalem Aquatic Center.

The Bruin Community Pantry food bank’s summer hours started on Monday, May 1, and will run through Friday, Aug. 25.
Here are our summer hours:
- Mondays: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 4-6 p.m.
- Tuesdays: Noon to 1:30 p.m.; 4-5:30 p.m.
- Wednesdays: 9-11 a.m.
- Thursdays: 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.; 4-6 p.m.
We will be closed May 29, June 19 and July 4. If you need access to the food bank outside of these hours, please contact Jere Witherspoon at jwitherspoon@georgefox.edu.

- Between the ages of 60 and 75 years old
- Do not have a condition preventing them from exercise
- Have not had a knee replacement
- Have a desire to progress science

Join us at 11 a.m. tomorrow (Wednesday) to hear a research presentation by the Department of Art & Design’s faculty candidate, Lisa Gadinas, in Lemmons 4. It is titled: “The Eye of the Spirit: Caspar David Friedrich, Kosegarten, and the Creative Process.”
Lisa holds a PhD in art history and has taught not only here as an adjunct, but around the Northwest, as well as in Austria and London.

Run for Africa is this Saturday! Support the Doctor of Physical Therapy’s service trip to Uganda by participating in this 5K/one-mile run/walk event around the main campus and into the community.
