Sign up to have a civil discussion on hard topics with Braver Angels

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2022

Today (Thursday) is the last day to sign up for this unique opportunity!

Would you like to experience a productive conversation about an intense issue with someone who disagrees with you – one where you and they both listen well and understand each other for the purpose of understanding rather than persuading, and without resorting to insults, putdowns or other hateful speech?

Are you willing to listen to the other side? Are you willing to speak to the other side with respect?

The Oregon Statewide Alliance of Braver Angels is inviting George Fox students to join with students from Lewis & Clark to talk about abortion. The online event will be on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., via Zoom. You can sign up here to be a participant or an observer.

Questions? Ask Ron Mock, George Fox’s Civility Project director, at rmock@georgefox.edu.

Braver Angels is a national organization working to reverse the trends leading to increasingly dysfunctional polarization and governmental gridlock at all levels of American politics.
