Adult couple needed for roles in student film

Thursday, February 14th, 2019

We are in need of a couple between the ages of 35 and 45 years old for our student film. Ask your friends, parents, uncles and aunts to audition for our film!

We also need a female student from Fox to act for our main role. This is for the advanced film class here on campus, so it is a great resume builder and the finished film will be in the Fox Film Festival.

Please contact Austin Carrero at acarrero16@georgefox.edu or Arnelie Dela Cruz at adelacruz17@georgefox.edu for more information on this film and to set up an audition time.

Did you know that the Campus Public Safety office is the home of the Lost and Found? If you have found something, please bring it promptly to our office so it has a better chance of being reunited with its owner. Please come to our office if you have lost something and we will check for you, and if we don’t have it we will note it on a master list.

However, due to the daily arrival of lost items and our very limited storage space, we will only be able to keep items for a maximum of two weeks before donating them to charitable causes, so please don’t delay if you have lost something!

Join running training program

Tuesday, February 12th, 2019

Join the Health and Human Performance department as we begin a running training program for students and employees.

The training program is designed to prepare students, faculty and staff for a 5K, 10K or half marathon of their choice. The program is open to all levels, with different route options provided each week depending on goal distance, level of experience, and/or time constraints for that given day. If you are unable to make a scheduled group run, please contact the HHP department to learn about other training plan options.

If you already have a race in mind, that’s great. If not, the group will plan to run the Rip City Race for the Roses together on April 28 in Portland. Click here for information on registering for that race.

The training group will meet on Mondays at 5 p.m., Wednesdays at 4 p.m., and Fridays at noon in front of the HHP offices. If different times are needed, please contact Mary Imboden at mimboden@georgefox.edu and she will try to coordinate with other runners who want to run at that time of day.
