Annual Financial Agreement can now be completed online

Sunday, April 19th, 2020

Student Accounts moved to a new paperless process within MyGeorgeFox this past semester. Each academic year, students are required to complete the Annual Financial Agreement.

If you haven’t yet completed the process, you will see a hold in MyGeorgeFox stating that the agreement is needed. You can then complete the following:

  • Go to your “Tasks” tile in MyGeorgeFox.
  • Select the agreement on your “To Do List” and complete the required steps.
  • Make sure you click the confirmation button on each screen and the submit button on the final step.

As soon as you finish, the hold will be removed. If you have any questions or issues, please reach out at studentaccounts@georgefox.edu or 503-554-2301.

Sunday, April 19th, 2020

A George Fox alumna, JeanneAnn Farris, and a current student, Nicola Pieper, have created a play called International. A free play reading will be performed via Zoom this Wednesday, April 22, at 7:30 p.m.

It’s a compiling of interviews, most of which are associated with students and faculty of George Fox University.

If you’re interested, would like to know more, or would like the link to the Zoom session, email internationalstagedreading@gmail.com.

Physical distancing reminder

Sunday, April 19th, 2020

Please make sure that you continue to carefully follow physical distancing guidelines to slow the spread of COVID-19. With the beautiful weather, it is tempting to relax our attention to these important matters.

If you are using the George Fox track or field or are out on the quad or elsewhere on campus, these guidelines from the Oregon Health Authority (OHA) should be carefully followed:

  • Stay home, save lives. The best way to stay healthy and prevent the spread of COVID-19 is to stay home. You must also limit things you do outside your home to what you must do. Examples of things you “must do” are shopping for food or picking up medicines. The governor’s order does not allow gatherings where people cannot keep six feet apart. Also, the order does not allow social events and non-essential business where people come into close contact.
  • Maintain six feet between you and all other people.
  • Wash or sanitize your hands after contact with any surface.
  • Do not touch your face, except after washing and sanitizing your hands.
  • Avoid groups and contact with other people.

You will find that once the bank account information is saved, the payment process is very quick. No fee is charged for submitting e-check payments. Thank you for helping us in this way!

Invitation to remember Jesus’ journey to the cross

Thursday, April 9th, 2020

Each year during Holy Week, the Office for Spiritual Life invites the community to meditate on Jesus’ journey to the cross through a Stations of the Cross prayer experience.

As we are not able to gather together for this annual tradition, the university pastors invite you to create a similar experience in your own home. We invite you to print this document and post the Scriptures around your home so that, as you move through your house, you may prayerfully meditate on Jesus’ journey to the cross throughout this Holy Week.

Peace be with you.
