Hello dance enthusiasts! The Swing Dance Club is continuing to host our “Swing Over Summer” events from 6:30 to 8 p.m. every Friday through the end of August at Jaquith Park in Newberg.
Our goal for the lessons is to kick-start our club for the upcoming academic year. That being said, both students and employees are welcome, and there is no charge to participate. If you want to have some fun, learn a new skill, and get some bonus dancing practice in before the school year starts, then this is the place for you!
There are no requirements for participation, although it’s recommended you have an athletic pair of shoes and a water bottle. If you have any questions or would like to be added to the email list, contact Mark Berglin at mberglin19@georgefox.edu.
The city of Newberg will be conducting what they call “large water meter testing†today (Monday). The Newberg campus has both large water meters with bypass valves and large water meters without bypass valves. Buildings being serviced by meters without bypass valves will experience a disruption in water service during testing times.
Locations of large water meters with bypass valves (that should not experience disruption in water service):
Locations of water meters without bypasses:
The city has stated that the testing should take about 30 minutes per meter. During that time the water may be off completely, unless it has a bypass valve. Questions can be directed to the plant services office (plantservices@georgefox.edu).
Are you an expert in your field? Do you have any creative or interesting hobbies? Have you participated in any ministries that are unique? Have you published recently? Volunteered with the Peace Corps? Had a career in a unique industry?
