Did you know that there is a way to register formal complaints?
While most student concerns and complaints can and should be resolved informally, there is a formal general complaint procedure described in the “Support for Students†section of the Undergraduate Student Handbook as well as on the Graduate/DPS Policies page of the website.
Please note that these procedures cover complaints of a general nature and do not supersede specific policies involving special cases such as grade appeals, sexual harassment, etc., which are covered elsewhere in the Student Handbook, Catalog or Graduate/DPS Policies.

Our focus as a servant engineering team is to better understand the challenges of living with physical limitations, in an effort to design and produce a prototype device to aid in everyday life activities! The limitation can be small or large; our goal is to learn more about all aspects of adaptive and assistive devices.

Mail Services is moving! On Monday, Oct. 18, Mail Services will officially be its new space in the Roberts Center and no longer in the North Street Annex building.
We will be accessible from the doors facing Sherman Street. To prepare for the big move, we will be closed Oct. 14-17. Therefore, please come pick up your packages by the end of the day on Wednesday, Oct. 13.

The Voices Project Conference is back in person this year! We will be kicking off the two-day-long conference on Friday, Oct. 15, in Bauman Auditorium, with doors opening at 5:30 p.m.
The event runs from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on Friday in Bauman, and from 9:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday in Canyon Commons. This year’s theme is “Identity: The Beauty, Scars, Trauma, and Power of BIPOC.†Each year, the conference highlights multicultural and multiethnic leadership in the U.S. It’s open to all students and faculty and community members.

Looking for an adventure this weekend? Join University Recreation and the Office of Spiritual Life on Sunday, Oct. 10, for a whitewater rafting trip on the Deschutes River! No prior rafting experience is necessary.
We will be rafting with Youth Dynamics, an outdoor and adventure ministry. As part of our time, we will have some activities designed to help us share experiences and reflect with one another. The rest of the time, we will be rafting and having loads of fun on the water!

Come to our Mathetes panel from 7 to 8:30 p.m., tonight (Thursday) in Hoover 102.
Mathetes is a safe conversational space in which students and faculty can engage with each other and learn from the experience of others in their Fox community. Our hope for this panel is that we can confront the myth that every person who is involved in higher education has the same educational experience.
This Mathetes event will unpack the experience of individuals who are English-learners (ESL), or who have experience in the language-learning environment. We hope to see you there!

After 20 months of creating theatre in digital and outdoor venues, the university’s theatre program is returning to Wood-Mar Auditorium for our fall production of Much Ado About Nothing by William Shakespeare. The show runs Thursday through Saturday, Oct. 21-23 and Oct. 28-30, at 7:30 p.m., and concludes with a Sunday matinee on Oct. 31 at 2 p.m.

All patrons must be masked. Our ticketing system will automatically place one empty seat on either side of your ticket purchase to create extra space between you and the patrons next to you. We encourage all patrons to be vaccinated to help protect our actors and fellow audience members from COVID-19.

If you are uncomfortable attending the production in person due to the pandemic – or can’t make the trip for any reason – please feel free to purchase our livestream options available on either Saturday, Oct. 30, at 7:30 p.m., or Sunday, Oct. 31, at 2 p.m.

Students may acquire free tickets for Thursday night performances. George Fox faculty and staff are entitled to one free ticket for the run of the show.
