Hear from two community leaders making a difference this Monday

Tuesday, April 4th, 2023

There are many ways to help people use their different perspectives as gifts for building local communities. Meet two women taking distinctly different approaches and making a difference: Cindy Cosenzo (Just Create Community of Hillsboro, Oregon) and Josie Newport (Citizens4Community of Sisters, Oregon).

They will be part of a George Fox Civility Project-organized event, “Building Healthy Political Civility in Local Communities: Two Oregon Models,” taking place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. this Monday, April 10, in Hoover 105.

Contact Ron Mock at civility@georgefox.edu for more information.

Join card-making event tonight to show gratitude to firefighters

Tuesday, April 4th, 2023

Join us tonight (Wednesday) at 6 p.m. in Hoover 103 for a special service project where we will be creating cards to show our gratitude to our local firefighters!

This is a wonderful opportunity to give back to our community and show our appreciation for the brave men and women who risk their lives to keep us safe.

We encourage everyone to come and participate, regardless of age or artistic ability. The cards can be as simple or as creative as you like, and we will have plenty of supplies on hand to help you bring your ideas to life.

Let’s come together as a community and show our firefighters how much we value their service. We hope to see you there!
