The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will be hosting Scholarship Summit on campus today (Friday). With around 400 visitors expected, we are asking students and employees to help extend the Be Known promise throughout the day. Here’s what you can keep in mind.
- Use street parking instead of campus parking lots. Guests will be arriving between 7:45 and 8:30 a.m. and will fill all the main campus parking lots.
- Be mindful of guests in your housing area. We will have housing tours circulating through Edwards, Gulley, Pennington, HMS, and Newlin from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tour groups will be viewing dorm lobbies and a room on the first floor of each dorm.
- Plan for a busier-than-usual Canyon Commons. Guests will be going through the main servery line. If you see a family looking for a spot to sit, invite them to join you!
- Our closing sessions will be from 2 to 4 p.m. in the Canyon Commons private dining rooms; please be mindful of noise levels if you are in the dining hall at that time.
If you have questions, email visit@georgefox.edu or call Lauren Hill at 503-554-2245.

If you have concerns about a traditional undergraduate student, log into Fox360 at Fox360.georgefox.edu to submit an “alert” for the student. Submit alerts for concerns in the following areas:
- Academic – Missing multiple classes; consistently poor academic performance
- Behavioral – Concerning or disruptive behaviors in or outside of class, missing work
- Emotional – Mental health concerns; unusual emotional expression
- Physical – Medical concerns; extreme changes in grooming, personal care
- Social – Personal, social, or family concerns that are affecting well-being and performance
A few notes about alerts:
- If a student is enrolled in your course but hasn’t attended class or engaged in GFD online activity, submit an alert.
- Student employee supervisors and other non-faculty are also invited to submit alerts for the reasons above.
- Alerts can be submitted any time during the semester.
- We trust those submitting an alert have attempted to make contact and either have not been able to connect with the student or believe additional outreach is needed.
The Student Support Network will assign a “case manager” to follow up with students. Case managers will do our best to give updates to faculty and employees who submit alerts or provide feedback. You are welcome to contact Jere Witherspoon (jwithers@georgefox.edu) to inquire about the status of a student.
This Fox360 Quick Guide provides a visual overview of the Fox360 system; more details about using Fox360 are available in this Google Doc.
Concerns about graduate and ADP students should be communicated to department chairs.
If you have questions or would like more information regarding Fox360, contact Rick Muthiah at rmuthiah@georgefox.edu.
