The provost’s and president’s offices have declared the undergrad drive-through commencement this year to be an all-hands-on-deck event. We need about 200 people (spread across several shifts) to help create a celebratory commencement experience for our undergraduates May 1-2.
Your responsibilities will include making sure cars travel the route safely and efficiently, and of course, cheering on our grads throughout the parade route!
Please sign up for a time slot (or two) by Monday, April 19, to participate in the commencement drive-through festivities. More details will be provided after you sign up. Time off in lieu of hours worked on May 1 or 2 are available with permission of your supervisor for those employees not already scheduled to work.
A huge thanks in advance from the Commencement Planning Committee!
Questions? Write the provost’s office at officeoftheprovost@georgefox.edu.

Want to discuss this further? Join a follow-up conversation with DAS on Wednesday, April 14, from 11 a.m. to noon on Zoom. We’ll discuss the podcast and brainstorm ways to make classes and other campus experiences more accessible to neurodiverse individuals.

Ending today (Thursday), all Champion brand merchandise is 20% off at the Bruin Store and online. We also have two full racks of tees under $10, and all Closet Project items are $1.
We take donations for the Closet Project year round, and are in need of clean dress clothes, denim, women’s tops, men’s jackets, and blazers. Please bring donations by the Bruin Store during business hours. The Closet Project was started by the Bruin Store team as an initiative to bring affordable professional attire to our students.
As students have gotten more involved, and become excited about donating, our inventory has expanded into athletic gear, wardrobe basics (T-shirts, tank tops, denim, etc.), and jackets. Each item is sold at $1. All sales from the Closet Project are donated back to the Bruin Community Pantry, so this is a great way to both give back and put our students first.
Faculty, staff and families are welcome to shop the Closet Project as well. We would love to have you benefit from this project and support the Bruin Community Pantry at the same time.
Questions? Contact Paige Jacobs (pjacobs@georgefox.edu).
