Furniture ‘Surplus’ Clarification

Monday, January 4th, 2021

For personnel moving offices and who need to go “replacement shopping” for office furniture, please email Sonia Rademacher (srademacher@georgefox.edu) for an appointment to select office items. Those items include:

  • Office desks
  • Office chairs
  • File cabinets
  • Book shelves, and
  • Random office supplies such as desk storage items, and a limited number of art frames

There is no need for an appointment if you only require office supplies.

For staff and faculty who are moving offices and require new items, please keep in mind that the quantities and style of furniture in surplus is limited.

If you do make an appointment to look at furniture, please have your office dimensions available so that those who are assisting you can know which desks to point out, as many desks are broken down for storage purposes, and some are designed for specific buildings on campus.

For all other furniture inquiries, please email Sonia.

Thank you!

Info on how to register a formal complaint

Monday, January 4th, 2021

While most student concerns and complaints can and should be resolved informally, there is a formal general complaint procedure described in the “Support for Students” section of the Undergraduate Student Handbook as well as on this website.

Note that these procedures cover complaints of a general nature and do not supersede specific policies involving special cases such as grade appeals, sexual harassment, etc., which are covered elsewhere in the Student Handbook, catalog or Graduate/DPS Policies.

For more information, contact the student life office (studentlife@georgefox.edu).
