Maker Hub’s ‘Tool Tip Friday’: Mug Press

Thursday, November 3rd, 2022

Whether you’re ready to listen to Christmas music or not, the holiday is approaching and the Maker Hub has many machines and tools to cover your gift-making needs!

The Maker Hub’s HPN Signature Series Mug Press is a professional grade mug press designed to easily and efficiently heat transfer custom images onto almost any size and shape of mug. Create the custom mug of your dreams from small-sized graphics such as names and logos to full wrap, edge-to-edge images.

Check out this video to see how it works! For more information on how you can make a custom mug, check out the Maker Hub’s Wiki page.

The Maker Hub exists as a resource and creative outlet for the entire George Fox community (yes, including non-engineers!). We are looking for student aces. A student ace is simply an expert on a piece of equipment who helps train other students on the usage of that equipment and gains extra privileges within the Maker Hub.

Please email makerhub@georgefox.edu if you would like to get connected or have any questions.

On Tuesday, Nov. 8, MyGeorgeFox will start using login.georgefox.edu, the university’s Single Sign On (SSO) system, for authentication.

This will bring MyGeorgeFox into the familiar login process used by other George Fox applications (e.g. Canvas, Zoom, Gmail). It also means if you are already logged in through SSO, you will be automatically logged in to MyGeorgeFox.

Please note that it also changes what happens when you logout of MyGeorgeFox. When you logout of MyGeorgeFox (or when your session times out) you will be shown a screen that provides two options for logging out and an explanation of each.

Please contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@georgefox.edu if you have questions.

We hope you and your family are staying healthy this fall. Flu season has started and can last through May, with peak flu activity happening from December to March.
