A reminder of the resources available during Sexual Assault Awareness Month
April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month. Throughout the month, we will send Daily Bruin announcements containing resources and information to assist everyone in spreading awareness and showing support for survivors of sexual assault.
Visit “Know Your Title IX,” which contains support resources, Title IX information, educational materials, and ways to get involved.
Here are additional resources:
- To chat with a trained support specialist, visit the National Sexual Assault Chat Hotline, available 24 hours a day.
- To learn more about university policies and resources, visit the university’s Title IX website.
- If you or someone you know has experienced sexual assault, contact Katrina Johnson, Title IX coordinator for students, at katrinaj@georgefox.edu or 503-554-2318.
- For local off-campus resources, visit Henderson House – McMinnville or the Sexual Assault Resource Center in Beaverton.
- If you have any questions, contact the campus advocate, located at the Intercultural Resource Center (in Moore House, on the Newberg campus), at campusadvocate@georgefox.edu.
- Finally, if you are in need of on-campus assistance, due to a health or safety emergency, please call 911 or Campus Public Safety at 503-554-2090.
