Reminder: Spouses and dependents now permitted to use Hadlock

Spouses and dependents of employees are now permitted to use the Hadlock Student Center, effective this month. If a spouse or adult dependent has a George Fox ID card, they need to login to MyGeorgeFox on their personal account and sign this year’s waiver.

If a spouse or adult dependent needs an ID card, the sponsoring university employee must email the IT Service Desk (servicedesk@georgefox.edu) to request one. Once the waiver is completed and the spouse or adult dependent has a valid ID, they will be able to use the Hadlock Student Center.

Spouses and adult dependents are able to participate in most programs and services that Hadlock offers, such as exercise classes and the climbing wall, with the exception of outdoor recreation trips and activities at this time.

For details on dependents 12 to 17 years of age, please see below, as our normal policy still applies. Dependents under the age of 12 are not permitted access at this time (with the exception of Family Days).

Here is our policy for family and dependents of employees:

  • Full-time university employees can request a George Fox ID card for a spouse or dependent (aged 18 to 26) by emailing the IT Service Desk (servicedesk@georgefox.edu)
    • Spouses and dependents are not allowed to use the employee’s ID card for entrance
  • A dependent is defined as a member of the household who is claimed as a dependent on the employee’s tax return
  • Dependents aged 12 to 17 can use the HSC while directly supervised by a parent/guardian although they are not required to obtain a George Fox ID card
  • Dependents under the age of 18 need to have a completed guest waiver on file prior to utilizing the facility
