Actors needed for short student comedy film, ‘Blind Date’

Calling actors and actresses to audition for Blind Date, a short comedy about a young man who has a crush on his blind classmate. He searches for the best way to win her over and ask her out. Auditions are scheduled from 3 to 5 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, in the Cinematic Arts building’s’ video studio.

Blind Date is one of the short films from the cinematic arts’ highest and most prestigious course, Advanced Production Workshop. Films made in this class will be screened at the Fox Film Festival.

Here are our acting needs:

  • James (18-23): a shy guy who lacks in confidence
  • Sarah (18-23): a quiet, focused student
  • Oliver (18-24): James’s quirky, eccentric and opinionated roommate

Extras are needed for a classroom scene:

  • Anyone aged 18-24
  • Professor needed (30 plus) for the classroom scene

Filming will be in Newberg for three weekends. Actors will be compensated in meals, a copy of the film, solid reel footage, and seats at the premiere.
