About Our People

Melanie Mock, Kathy Heininge, Gary Tandy and Ed Higgins (English) attended an international War and Peace As Liberal Arts Conference Feb. 21-23 at Westmont College in Santa Barbara, Calif. Kathy presented a paper titled, “Virginia Woolf, Quaker Pacifist?”; Gary presented a paper titled, “Contemplation, Preparation, and Action: Peace Pilgrim’s Prophetic Witness for our Time”; and Ed presented an illustrated paper, “George Fox and Narratives of Peace and Activism in the Quaker Tapestry.” While at the conference they connected with two former George Fox faculty members, Michael Everest (now a professor of chemistry at Westmont) and Michael Graves, who this year is a visiting professor of communication studies at Westmont.

Mandee Wilmot (Undergraduate Admissions) was named Employee of the Month for February.
