Social Work Club seeking volunteers for walk, run on April 28

Do you like to walk, run or volunteer? The university’s Social Work Club is seeking volunteers for a Child Abuse Awareness Walk and Run on Saturday, April 28, at Cook Park in Tigard.

Volunteers will help with the following positions: hand out food and water, cheer people on, keep people on the correct course, set up, tear down and clean up, aid people in the resource booth, hand out the blue ribbons, and talk about the blue ribbon campaign. Volunteers will receive a free T-shirt for their participation in this event.

This event is being sponsored by the Social Work Club and supported by the Department of Human Services, Healthy Start, the Domestic Violence Resource Center, Community Action, and a number of other agencies. These agencies would greatly appreciate your support.

Please contact Stephanie Abdulmajid at sabdulmajid09@georgefox.edu if you would like to volunteer or have any questions about this event.
