Important info regarding in-person BruinBuy training April 7-9

Hello all! As announced at last week’s all-employee meeting, the Unimarket team will be on-site from April 7-9 to provide in-person training on BruinBuy, our new eProcurement system.

We will be offering three sessions for Browsers and Buyers, and two sessions specifically for Approvers. To ensure everyone is on the same page, here’s a quick reminder about the Unimarket roles:

  • Browser: Shops the Marketplace, creates incomplete requisitions with or without accounting strings, reassigns requisitions to a Buyer, and requests new suppliers
  • Buyer: Shops the Marketplace, creates requisitions (including those reassigned by a Browser), and requests new suppliers. Once a Buyer submits a requisition for approval, the funds are encumbered.
  • Approver: Reviews and approves or declines requisitions submitted by Buyers, ensuring that purchases are reasonable, authorized, and comply with the approval process.
