The Bruin Community Pantry is experiencing a shortage of supplies
Food banks are facing increasing difficulties in obtaining food due to a combination of factors, including rising food costs, supply chain disruptions, and a surge in demand as people struggle with inflation and the end of pandemic-related aid.
Due to these factors, the Bruin Community Pantry is facing a shortage of basic supplies that our students and community members rely on. We are in desperate need of grocery bags and certain shelf-stable items.
Here are some ways you can help:
- Donate targeted items to the food bank.
- Soups
- Chili
- Oatmeal
- Canned meals
- Boxed meals (rice, pasta)
- Plan a food drive in your department. If you want to provide a prize for the winner, contact Jere Witherspoon for more information.
- Clean out your closet and bring in your grocery bags.
- Consider making a financial donation at this link.
Drop off your donated items at the food bank during our hours of operation.
