Don’t miss the Woolman Peacemaking Forum on Feb. 25
Mark your calendar! The Woolman Peacemaking Forum is just around the corner, and you won’t want to miss this important conversation taking place on Tuesday, Feb. 25, in Hoover 105.
The 3:30 to 5 p.m. Woolman Peacemakers Panel features four perspectives, including a Christian Palestinian living in the West Bank, a Christian of Syrian descent, a Quaker with field experience, and a Jewish man from a Zionist background who was transformed by his work in Gaza.
Panelists will address the following questions about the current crisis in Israel and Palestine:
- How did we get here (a historic perspective)?
- Why should I care (a Christian perspective)?
- What can I do (a call to peacemaking and justice)?
- The panel event will be followed by a Q&A session, as well as an appetizer reception and exhibitor hall.
The 6 to 8 p.m. Woolman lecture will be presented by Dr. Lamma Mansour. She will give a message entitled, “Bearing Witness: A Christian Palestinian Cry for Justice and Peace.” The lecture will be followed by a time of Q&A.
Both events are available via livestream. Livestream link and additional information can be found at georgefox.edu/woolmanforum.
