Reminder: FAFSA data is coming this month
March is here, which means the countdown to FAFSAs can begin!
In January, the Department of Education announced that it will process and send FAFSA data to schools in the first half of March. Your financial aid counselors expect to receive FAFSAs within the next three weeks and package aid as soon as possible afterward. Here’s what this means for you:
- You will receive emails from the Department of Education and George Fox University when your FAFSA has been processed and we have received your data.
- If you made a mistake on your FAFSA, you will be able to log into your studentaid.gov dashboard and make corrections once you receive notice that your FAFSA has been processed.
- Your institutional aid from George Fox will remain the same as last year, but federal and state aid may change based on new FAFSA information and calculated Student Aid Index (SAI).
- We will receive FAFSAs in batches from the Department of Education, not all at once. While we will work through batches as quickly as we can, it may take several weeks for you to receive your financial aid offer letter after your FAFSA is processed.
