Sign up now for search advocacy training sessions

The Office of People and Culture is partnering with Dr. Rebecca Hernandez to once again train our community in search advocacy in order to help mitigate bias in the hiring process.

This fall, two distinct training opportunities will be offered: a refresher course for those who have participated in previous trainings, and a first-time training for those interested in becoming a search advocate. For more detailed information about search advocacy, click here.

  • First-time search advocate trainees will need to attend both sessions, on Monday, Sept. 25, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and on Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • The refresher course for existing advocates will be offered twice, on Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 9 to 11:30 a.m. or Wednesday, Sept. 27, from 1 to 3:30 p.m.
