Museum exhibit highlights college’s first Black graduate

The university’s museum has a new exhibit in the Stevens Center focused on Alan Rutherford, the college’s first Black graduate (1933).

Rutherford was very active in many campus organizations and helped to organize the college’s first interracial conference in 1931. He went on to become a very successful educator.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Caitlin Corning (ccorning@georgefox.edu). More information on the museum can be found at this link.
