Information on university ID card update

Tuesday, May 28th, 2019

Over this summer, the university will be moving from our current ID card system, which uses a magnetic stripe, to a proximity card system that lets an individual tap the card on a reader.

We will be contacting each area that this will affect as we start to change the components of the system in those areas.

Here are the changes that you need to be aware of:

  • Everyone will receive a new card.
  • Your current website picture will be used on your new card; if this needs to be updated, please email photographer Chris Low at clow@georgefox.edu to arrange for a new photo to be taken.
  • You will be notified and receive a new card before the change is made in your area.
  • Your old card will no longer work once the new card is distributed.

If you have any questions, please contact the Service Desk at servicedesk@georgefox.edu
