Adam Puckett speaks at Legacy League luncheon on Nov. 2

George Fox Athletics Director Adam Puckett will be a special guest at a Legacy League (formerly George Fox Auxiliary) luncheon at noon on Friday, Nov. 2, in the Canyon Commons dining hall.

Puckett will speak primarily on the mission statement of the school’s athletics department: “To provide a competitive experience that breeds athletic excellence, academic success and Christ-like character.”

“I will discuss why we believe each to be important and how it fits into the mission of the university, what it means to us as a department, and what intentional efforts we are making to create a culture that honors the mission,” Puckett said.

Reservations are required, with $10 payable at the door. Reservations, with a deadline of Oct. 30, may be made by calling Connie Magee at 503-927-5011.

With the addition of swimming this year, George Fox now has 477 student-athletes in 21 sponsored sports. Eighty of those students compete in two different sports, something not common in Division I schools.
