New Authentication Method for EBSCOhost Databases

The library is pleased to share that as of Tuesday, October 21, 2024, researchers accessing any EBSCOhost database (see a full list here) will automatically be signed in to a MyEBSCO account connected to their George Fox Credentials via single-sign-on.

MyEBSCO accounts allow researchers to save records across databases and sessions, and to set up project folders and search alerts within EBSCOhost databases. Although helpful for researchers that primarily use EBSCOhost-based tools, these features do not extend to results found in Library Search/Primo or other vendor platforms. For those looking for help keeping track of research materials across platforms, the library recommends Zotero.

Researchers with existing MyEBSCO accounts (set up with an email address or Google sign-on) may wish to merge their accounts for ongoing access to previously saved materials and settings. Those who have not previously used a personal MyEBSCO account do not need to take any action at this time.
