Pennington Residence Hall is named after Levi Pennington, who was president of Pacific College for 30 years.
Pennington Hall was one of many buildings on the George Fox campus that was designed by Donald Lindgren. Pennington Hall was constructed in 1962. It was the first co-ed dorm on campus, housing men in one wing and women in the other, with a shared lobby in between. It has been renovated twice since it was built, in 1994 and 2015.
Today, the residence hall is used to house 100 first-year students, and includes a resident area coordinator’s apartment.
