Genesis

The summer registration day, now called Genesis,  was designed to introduce new undergrad students into college life.  Genesis commemorates the starting point for years ahead for new students in the George Fox community. This day students came to the campus to meet professors,  enroll in classes, and meet fellow students planning to attend in the fall. Genesis is the first opportunity in which the students start to create memories and get a taste of what it is to come as a college student.

FUN FACTS ABOUT GENESIS:

  • 2004 registration day was called for the first time Genesis
  • Genesis emphasizes a new beginning
  • Genesis is officially the day in which Freshmen start to adapt to the campus life
  • For many students attending Genesis, Freshman residents living on campus will house the Genesis students overnight. This overnight sleepover also helps introduce new students into dorm life.
  • During the Genesis dates, there are usually different activities taking place across campus such as theatre productions, special chapels, and sporting events.
