The university’s tuition remains the lowest in its regional peer group

NEWBERG, Oregon -- For the first time in more than 40 years, George Fox University will not raise traditional undergraduate tuition.

Annual tuition (12 to 18 credits per semester) for the 2021-22 academic year will remain $37,840, the lowest in the Northwest Conference, which includes Lewis & Clark College, Linfield University, Pacific University, and Willamette University in Oregon, and Pacific Lutheran University, the University of Puget Sound, Whitman University and Whitworth University in Washington. All of George Fox’s undergraduate students receive financial aid, averaging more than $32,000 in aid annually.

“We recognize the significant financial toll the pandemic has taken on students and families in our Bruin community, and will take the necessary steps to absorb the rising cost of education in this season,” said Lindsay Knox, vice president for enrollment and marketing. “We want to find a financial path for students to become and stay a Bruin.”

Despite the COVID-19 pandemic, George Fox has received increased interest for fall 2021, as applications are up from a year ago. Students may still apply. George Fox’s priority decision application deadline is Feb. 1 and reviewed on a rolling basis after that date.

The university’s admissions team is available to answer questions for prospective students and their families.

George Fox University is ranked by Forbes among the top Christian universities in the country and is a Christian college classified by U.S. News & World Report as a “Best National University.” More than 4,000 students attend classes on the university’s campus in Newberg, Ore., and at teaching centers in Portland, Salem and Redmond, Ore. George Fox offers bachelor’s degrees in more than 40 majors, degree-completion programs for working adults, seven seminary degrees, and 13 master’s and doctoral degrees.
