NEWBERG, Ore. – Between 800 and 900 family members are expected to visit the George Fox University Newberg campus for the university’s 27th annual Family Weekend, scheduled Friday through Sunday, Nov. 2-4.

The weekend allows parents to explore the campus life students experience every day. On Friday, events include a dinner, holiday bazaar, jazz concert, and theatre production. There will be five faculty lectures, an opportunity to get acquainted with President Robin Baker at an afternoon reception, and performances by George Fox music ensembles and Portland’s most popular comedy troupe on Saturday. The weekend will conclude with a 10 a.m. worship service Sunday in Bauman Auditorium.

“Family Weekend draws more guests to campus than any other university-sponsored weekend during the year,” said Sheri Philips, executive director of university relations. “We are always excited to see families enjoying each other and having a great time with the planned activities.”

Online registration and more information is available at before Oct. 26. For a list of local hotels that offer discounts to George Fox families, go to
