Google Search Tip

Recently I was performing a search in Google and I felt that it would help if I had the ability to exclude specific websites from my results and so I checked into it.  I already knew that I could use the minus sign “-” to exclude terms from my search query and I also knew that I could search within specific websites or a class of websites using the “site:” operator.  What I learned was that Google allows you to use “-” and “site:” together to exclude specific websites from your results.

Example: white house history -site:www.whitehouse.gov
