About Scholarly Articles

Scholarly articles are also known as PEER-REVIEWED articles.  A “peer-reviewed” article means that it has been subjected to a PROCESS OF CRITICAL EVALUATION by one or more experts on the subject.  These are the types of articles that you will need for your scholarly research and they can be found in the scholarly journals that are available both online and in print at the library.  Look in the databases for full-text journals or bibliographic records of journals.  To find out if the library has full-text access to a particular journal you can perform a quick “journal title” search in Foxtrax.  If the library has the journal this search will provide you with the links that you need to access the journal.
