The new was launched on October 6th with three new technologies that enable Ask to take your query and deliver specific answers instead of just the titles and descriptions of the document.  Here’s an example from the blog.

We all know that Google is the most widely used search engines but there are other good search engines out there too and I think that Ask is one of them.  Remember that since you will always get a different set of results from one search engine to another, it can be helpful to have at least 2 or 3 general search engines that you use.  This can help you find some valuable information that you would have missed if you had only used one search engine.

Whenever you need help finding information, whether it’s on the Web or in the databases, feel free to ask a librarian.

We are happy to help!
