The following lists the year these clubs were established.<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>1935<\/b><\/h6>\n<p>Trefian Literary Society \u2013 A women\u2019s organization dedicated to developing\u00a0a literary appreciation and friendships among students<\/p>\n<p>Y.M.C.A \u2013 Young Men\u2019s Christian Association, their mission was to help members develop their mental, physical, and spiritual life<\/p>\n<p>Y.W.C.A \u2013 Young Women\u2019s Christian Association, same as Y.M.C.A. but for women<\/p>\n<p>Men\u2019s Athletic Association &#8211; club sponsoring men&#8217;s athletic programs<\/p>\n<p>Women\u2019s Athletic Association &#8211; club sponsoring women&#8217;s athletic programs<\/p>\n<p>L\u2019Ami \u2013 responsible for the yearbook and \u201cis an outgrowth of freshman inspiration and is the first yearbook ever published in the Quaker school&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Crescent \u2013 began in 1891 was originally published as a monthly magazine and wasn\u2019t until 1914 under the editorship of Emmett Gulley underwent change<\/p>\n<p>International Relations Club \u2013 organized in 1931 to discuss current world events<\/p>\n<p>Gold P Club \u2013 a club for male athletes who have made a letter in any sport<\/p>\n<p>Gold Q Club \u2013 a club for female athletes who made a letter in any sport<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1938<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">P.C. Pep Club \u2013 this club&#8217;s purpose is to promote pep and enthusiasm at all student body affairs<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1939<\/h6>\n<p>Forensics &#8211; debate club focused on developing student&#8217;s oratory skills and competing in competitions<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1945<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Actorators \u2013 a club combining students with passions for theater and speeches<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Christian Union \u2013 this club&#8217;s purpose is to promote good Christian work on campus<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1947<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">S.M.A \u2013 Student Ministerial Association, inspiring wise preachers and discuss vital preacher problems<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1948<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">F.M.F \u2013 Foreign Missions Fellowship, hear about mission speakers and their work<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Flying Club &#8211; learning the latest techniques in aviation<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1952<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Scribblers \u2013 a club for English majors with a passion for poetry<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">F.T.A \u2013 Future Teachers of America, aimed at preparing future teachers for the challenges of being educators<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1957<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Athenians \u2013 new this year for philosophical thinkers<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Oregon Education Association \u2013 educational field explored through activities <\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1958<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Delta Psi Omega \u2013 drama club<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Phi Gamma Sigma \u2013 membership is limited to upper-division students who have a\u00a0grade point\u00a0average of 3.4 or higher<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1963<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Circle K \u2013 a club focused on campus and community service projects, such as helping a student from Africa raise money to go back home<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Music Guild \u2013 an organization for students who have an active interest in music<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1964<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Campus-Relations Council \u2013 a group dedicated to voicing student opinions on campus regulations<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Off-Campus Students Association \u2013 a club dedicated to off-campus students, ensuring they have the same voice and rights of those living on campus<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Student Christian Union Cabinet \u2013 promotion of religious life on campus<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1965<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kappa Tau Epsilon \u2013 <\/span>this club&#8217;s purpose is to promote the social, cultural, and spiritual welfare of female students by hosting service projects and cultivate discussion<\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1967<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Mission Conference \u2013 a club focused on hosting missionary events on campus<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\">1969<\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Ham Radio Club \u2013 a club for students interested in radio broadcasting<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Surf\u2019s Up \u2013 surfing club<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>1974<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Kayak Club &#8211; this club plans kayaking trips and builds their own boats<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Sky Diving Club &#8211; a club dedicated to skydiving trips<\/span><\/p>\n<h6 style=\"text-align: center;\"><b>1975<\/b><\/h6>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">KFOX radio &#8211; campus radio station<\/span><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Past Clubs: 1935-1975 As Pacific College\/George Fox University grew, clubs were steadily added.
