It <span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">currently serves as the main building of the George Fox Athletic Department. Built in 1977, the sports center is name after Coleman H. Wheeler, the chairman of the board of Willamette Industries and a frequent contributor to the university. Both floors contain the trophy cabinet for the success of the athletic teams throughout the years, from conference titles to NCAA championships.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2306 alignright\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WSC-300x200.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"366\" height=\"244\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WSC-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WSC-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/WSC.jpg 900w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px\" \/><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial;\">Wheeler Sports Center is split into two floors, the bottom center has Miller Gymnasium, where the both basketball, women\u2019s volleyball, and STUNT teams train and compete throughout their prospective seasons. It contains three basketball courts, two racquetball courts, and three volleyball courts. It also contains the Golf Training center for the golf teams, and also the athletic training center for the athletic trainers. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\"><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-2307 alignleft\" src=\"http:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/esports-300x180.jpeg\" alt=\"\" width=\"366\" height=\"219\" srcset=\"https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/esports-300x180.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/blogs.georgefox.edu\/history\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/04\/esports.jpeg 600w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 366px) 100vw, 366px\" \/>The upper level houses the offices for most coaches and officials of the athletic department. It also includes the E-Sports Arena, which houses the E-Sports team, which became a part of the athletic department at the start of the 2021-22 school year.
