As per our heat protocol, please follow these steps:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Stay hydrated by drinking water every 20 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Schedule more strenuous work in the cooler parts of the day such as the morning.<\/li>\n<li>If your building does not have air conditioning, take advantage of cooler buildings such as the Murdock Library, Klages, or Canyon Commons.<\/li>\n<li>Between the hours of 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., check on fellow employees every hour to two hours.<\/li>\n<li>Know the symptoms of <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1qJeP1bUV792Lz14qLkbNGpnAsozYNhWS\/view?usp=drive_link\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>heat-related illnesses<\/strong><\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you have any questions about best practices during high heat, please contact Kim Knoernschild, our environmental health, and safety specialist, at <a href=\"mailto:kknoernschild@georgefox.edu\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">kknoernschild@georgefox.edu<\/a>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for today (Tuesday).
