These items include clothing, blankets, kitchen supplies, small appliances, room decorations, small furniture, etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In an effort to keep the dumpsters from overflowing and to be better stewards of resources, the university collects these items through an initiative we call Phase 2 and gives them a second life. We\u2019re happy to accept reusable items, today (<strong>Friday<\/strong>) through&nbsp;<strong>Sunday, April 28<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Collection barrels will be placed in dorm lobbies across campus. There will also be a drop-off location at Plant Services (#60 on the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/maps_locations\/campus-map.pdf?_gl=1*19i9lve*_ga*NzA1NDAzMzQuMTcwMDY3NjA3Mw..*_ga_R15W4G549V*MTcxMzIwNjY4OS4xOTYuMS4xNzEzMjA3NTA0LjAuMC4w\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">campus map<\/a>) during normal business hours, in or near the receiving bay located to the left of the main entrance. Please place donated items in bags inside the barrels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We&nbsp;<strong>do not<\/strong>&nbsp;accept:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Trash<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Damaged, broken, or dirty items<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Undergarments or socks<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Items bigger than the barrel<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Liquids<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Chemicals (may be placed in a box or bag next to the barrels)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food (take sealed, unexpired food to the&nbsp;<strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/offices\/student-life\/bruin-community-pantry\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bruin Community Pantry<\/a><\/strong>&nbsp;in Lewis Apartment #1)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>There will also be a few extra-large dumpsters for trash located on campus. By law, computers, monitors, and TVs cannot go into the trash. They can be placed beside the barrels; please label them if they are broken.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Questions?
