Believe it or not it is the middle of the semester. Now is the time to take an assessment of your perception of how you are doing in each of your classes. <\/p>\n
Mid-term grades, while not a part of your final semester grade report, are an important indicator of how you are doing academically.
\nMid-term grades are meant to encourage students to get in touch with their professors. <\/p>\n
There are many resources here at GFU to get you the help you need to be academically successful.<\/p>\n
Have you checked your mid-term grade report? Depending upon what you find you need to consider taking some action.<\/p>\n
You can review mid-semester grades now if they have been entered by your instructor(s):<\/strong><\/p>\n 1. Log in to MyGFU<\/p>\n 2. Select Student Center<\/p>\n 3. From the Other Academic drop-down (in the Academics section of the start page), select Grades<\/p>\n 4. Select the term and the Mid-Term Grades tab (next to the Official Grades tab which will be the default display).<\/p>\n The Mid-Term Grades tab ONLY appears once at least one grade has been entered for you by an instructor.<\/strong><\/p>\n Now you need to determine what to do next:<\/strong> The last date to withdraw is Friday, MARCH 18, 2011, at 5 p.m.<\/strong><\/p>\n You can usually go below 12 hours (at this point in the semester) without impacting your financial aid.<\/p>\n Withdrawal results in a W on your transcript but does not factor into GPA. If you were to get an F, it would impact GPA.<\/p>\n
\nConsider whether to withdraw from one or more courses if it looks likely that you’ll get an F (or maybe even a D).<\/p>\n
