These items often include clothing, blankets, kitchen supplies, small appliances, room decorations, small furniture, etc.<\/p>\n<p>In an effort to keep the dumpsters from overflowing and to be better stewards of resources, Phase 2 was initiated. We are happy to receive reusable items that students do not want to take home, starting today and going through <strong>Sunday, April 30<\/strong>. The gathered items will be donated to different organizations in the local area.<\/p>\n<p>Collection barrels will only be placed in dorm lobbies across campus. There will also be a drop-off location at Plant Services (#59 on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/maps_locations\/campus-map.pdf\">campus map<\/a>) during normal business hours, in or near the receiving bay located to the left of the main entrance. Look for and use these barrels as you prepare to leave the campus. Please place donated items in bags inside the barrels.<\/p>\n<p>We do not accept:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Trash<\/li>\n<li>Damaged, broken, or dirty items<\/li>\n<li>Undergarments or socks<\/li>\n<li>Items bigger than the barrel<\/li>\n<li>Liquids<\/li>\n<li>Chemicals (may be placed in a box or bag next to the barrels)<\/li>\n<li>Food: Take sealed, unexpired food to the <strong><a style=\"font-size: revert; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\" href=\"https:\/\/www.georgefox.edu\/offices\/student-life\/bruin-community-pantry\/index.html\">Bruin Community Pantry<\/a><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: revert; color: initial; font-family: -apple-system, BlinkMacSystemFont, 'Segoe UI', Roboto, Oxygen-Sans, Ubuntu, Cantarell, 'Helvetica Neue', sans-serif;\"> in Roberts<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>There will also be a few extra-large dumpsters for trash located on campus. By law, computers, monitors, and TVs cannot go into the trash.
